It wasn't a good day for Ulster in the Pro12.

After having drawn 24-24 at home to Cardiff Blues, and losing 22-20 away to Munster, Les Kiss' men were searching for a win away to Ospreys to keep alive their hopes of making the playoffs.

After several periods of pressure in the first half, the visitors were unable to convert opportunities, and found themselves going into the changing rooms at half-time 17-3 down.

The home side added a further 7 points towards the end of the match, before one of the season's top performers Jacob Stockdale crossing the line for the Ulstermen.

It was too-little-too-late as Ulster slipped further behind the top four in the table with just one match left this regular season- Leinster at home on May 6.

To add to their woes, centre Stuart Olding was stretchered off with an injury, after Ruan Pienaar's game was also cut short with a back problem.

Final score: Ospreys 24-10 Ulster
