Glentoran shareholders have voted to back a takeover that could see millions of pounds flowing into the east Belfast club.
The proposal had 96 per cent support at a special meeting on Thursday night.
The consortium involved includes the club's Head Coach Mick McDermott, former manager Paul Millar and a British-Iranian businessman.
The Glens say the investment will help them build for a positive future both on and off the pitch.
