Dungannon’s Kris Meeke says participants ‘need a sixth sense to survive in rally car racing.

He’s been speaking to Coach Mag online.

He says fitness is an integral part of a rally driver’s regime.

Meeke comes into what will be his final round of the 2016 FIA World Rally Championship season at the Dayinsure Wales Rally GB.

He’s hoping to round off a successful year.

The Abu Dhabi Total World Rally Team driver has taken two wins on gravel this year in Portugal and Finland.

He was second in Wales last year for Citroën.

Meeke and his co-driver Paul Nagle know that they are more than capable of setting up a challenge.
