The two associations have announced the money will be to help improve conditions for players.

The GAA and Gaelic Players Association have announced a deal worth £15.6 million pounds to improve conditions for inter-county players.

The agreement is for 2017-2019.

There's also to be a working group to help understand the strains on players.

The GPA will have a greater influence over GAA policy, and their funding will have doubled from the last arrangement in 2011.
