Crusaders beat Glenavon 4-3 in a dramatic Danske Bank Premiership match at Mourneview Park on Saturday.

It keeps the second-placed Crues six points behind leaders Coleraine who had a 2-0 win away to bottom club Ballinamallard.

Cliftonville are up to third place after a 1-0 victory against visiting Glentoran.

Full-back Levi Ives grabbed the only goal of the game in the second-half as Barry Gray's Reds made it seven wins in a row.

A positive for Glens manager Gary Haveron was the return to action of defender Willie Garrett after two years out injured.

Linfield's title defence suffered another setback as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Warrenpoint Town at Windsor Park.

Marty Murray hit a late penalty equaliser for Matthew Tipton's team.

The Blues are now fifth in the standings, 14 points behind Coleraine going into next Saturday's showdown with Cliftonville.

Manager David Healy says he can understand why fans vented their fury at the final whistle.

Ballymena moved into the top six by beating Carrick 3-1 at Warden Street.

And it was scoreless between Dungannon Swifts and Ards.
