Wrightbus won't comment on "recruitment freeze" claims

Bus manufacturer Wrightbus is refusing to confirm or deny a media report that it's poised to impose a recruitment freeze.

An alleged company memo stating that the Wrightbus board is restructuring in response to  "challenges in the local and overseas markets" has been published by a local news outlet.

Wrightbus employs well over one thousand people at its plants in Ballymena and Antrim.

North Antrim MLA Paul Frew worked in industry for many years.

He says if the reports on Wrightbus are true, it may not be that bad:
