The PSNI is to deploy extra manpower into north Belfast from this evening after three nights of disorder.

Petrol bombs, bricks and other missiles were thrown at officers as trouble flared in the North Queen Street area.

There are no reports of any injuries but a number of police vehicles were damaged.

Superintendent Melanie Jones says the trouble mainly involves young people and is being orchestrated by older youths.
