EXCLUSIVE: Co. Antrim woman recalls horror Flybe "crash landing"

A Co. Antrim vet has spoken of her horror at being aboard a plane that was forced to make an emergency landing without it's nose gear at Belfast International airport.

This day last week (Friday) Norma McAuley from Ballycastle boarded a Flybe flight from Belfast George Best City Airport to Inverness in Scotland along with more than fifty other passengers and crew.

Among them a ten month old baby.

(Norma says there was no panic but some passengers were distressed)

A short time into the flight Norma says the captain reported technical problems...

She's been telling Q Radio what happened on board...

The Belfast city to Inverness flight landed safely at the international after developing technical issues after leaving the city airport.

(Norma says she became aware something wasn't right shortly after take off)

The bombardier aircraft had 53 passengers on board including an infant and 4 crew members.

(Norma says she is full of admiration for the pilots on board flight 331 that day)

Flight 331 had to circle off the coastline for around two hours to burn off fuel.

Miraculously only one person was taken to hospital to be treated for a minor thumb injury.
