Teenager assaulted in Belfast City Centre

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident

Police are appealing for information following a report of an assault which occurred at the Donegall Square North area of Belfast on Thursday 4th July.

Sergeant Earley said: “Shortly before 3:30am, it was reported that an 18 year old man was punched in the face by an unknown male as he was standing at the front of City Hall. The man was taken to hospital with a fractured jaw following the incident.

The male is described as being 6”1 in height, wearing a black coloured top, cream coloured trousers, white trainers and a beige coloured baseball cap.

“Enquiries are continuing and police would like to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage taken at the time of the incident, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 737 04/07/24. Alternatively, you can submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/ .
