Ballycastle Coastguard has been called out to deal with a suspected explosive device.

Ballycastle Coastguard officers were called out to deal with a suspected explosive device.  The device found north of Cushendun last night was thought to be from either war time or more recent

A second one was then uncovered following a search of the beach by coastguard officers. The area was sealed off until an Army technical officer examined the scene

The army destroyed the devices with no further objects found.
