Staff threatened during Belfast armed robbery

Police are investigating a report of an armed robbery at a shop on the Crumlin Road in Belfast.

They say a man armed with a knife entered the premises at around 8pm on Sunday night - and demanded money from the till.

He then left with cigarettes and headed towards the city centre before turning onto Silvio Street.

A spokesperson for the PSNI added: "The man was wearing a dark coloured tracksuit with a hood covering his face and blue surgical gloves.

"Anyone with any information about this incident or who may be able to help with the investigation, is asked to call detectives at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number 1582 13/12/20, or to submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.
