The former President of the Methodist Church in Ireland was one of the witnesses to IRA decommissioning in 2005

On Sunday afternoon, Reverend Good's fishing boat the White Falcon, lost engine power at Kenbane Castle on the North Coast.  Local boat men Chris McCaughan and Marvi Kaskoush launched RIB Boisterous from Ballycastle Harbour where they rescued him from Kenbane Castle.

It's the same area where Vessel Lord Ran a youth training vessel sank with a crew and radio presenters on board between Ballycastle and Ballintoy.    Boisterous towed him back to Ballycastle Harbour where he was safely berthed, Ballycastle Coastguard kept and coastal watch to ensure the safety of the passage

The Rev Harold Good is a former president of the Methodist Church in Ireland, who saw the IRA decommission its guns in 2005. It was a crucial milestone in the peace process which ended decades of conflict and more recently, he was involved in an agreement in Ardoyne  reached between CARA and Orange Order to, allow the three year stand off to come to a satisfactory conclusion.

At the same time, Coast Rescue officers responded to a call at Ballintoy for assistance after a walker fell on some rocks, sustaining leg injuries. Two crews from the Ballycastle Coastguard responded, along with a fast-response Paramedic and a crew from the NI Ambulance Service.

The woman's injuries were treated at the scene to make her comfortable, before she was then evacuated by stretcher to a waiting Ambulance.  She was then taken to Causeway Hospital in Coleraine.
