Raymond McCord says he fears for his life, 20 years on from son's murder

A father has told Q Radio he feel's his life is constantly under threat after his son was murdered 20 years ago.

Raymond McCord Jr was brutally beaten in a quarry outside of Belfast on November 9th 1997. Raymond Sr has says the anniversary brings all of the memories of his son to the fore.

Raymond's son was murdered on 9 November 1997, the body of 22-year-old former RAF radar operator Raymond McCord was found dumped at Ballyduff quarry, Newtownabbey, just a few miles outside of Belfast.

He had been killed with a concrete breeze block. His face had been so badly disfigured from the rain of blows that his coffin had to remain closed during his funeral.

Raymond Snr says he will continue to fight for justice for his son. He says the pain still dominates his life two decades on.
