Public encouraged to learn CPR skills as part of World Restart a Heart Day

People across Northern Ireland are being encouraged to learn life-saving CPR skills as part of World Restart a Heart Day.

Every year more than 1,500 people here suffer from a heart attack away from hospital.

Fewer than 10% of them survive.

Today the Department of Health will be in some local schools teaching pupils what to do when someone suffers a cardiac arrest.
