PSNI probe 'suspicious approach' to child in Belfast

Police are investigating a suspicious approach towards a child in the Dunmurry area of Belfast. 

It's said to have happened as the boy walked between Colinmill and Laurelbank areas sometime between 7.10 and 7.30 on Tuesday evening. 

It was reported to police after 10pm. 

The suspect pulled up alongside the boy in a silver Skoda and spoke to him in a local accent. 

QRadio understands the man left the area and the child was not harmed. 

A PSNI spokesperson has appealed for information regaurding the incident on the Pantridge Road saying "The suspect was described as having dark hair, and had a local accent.'

'Anyone who was in the area and who saw this man in the vehicle, or witnessed the interaction with the boy, is asked to contact police on 101.'
