South Belfast's Botanic Avenue is back open after what emergency services will only describe as an "incident".

Police and Paramedics were called to the area this afternoon.

It came as Translink reported a 'trespass' incident at Botanic Station.

A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said: "The NIAS received a call at 15:49 this afternoon following reports of an incident on Botanic Avenue, Belfast.

"A Rapid Response Vehicle Paramedic is in attendance at the scene.

"This is an ongoing incident and no further information is available at this time."
