More than 30 firefighters have managed to bring a significant fire at a recycling plant outside Omagh under control.
Crews were called to the incident on the Baroney Road near Mountfield, at around 5am this morning.
On arrival, NIFRS firefighters found a "well developed" blaze caused by a considerable amount of recycling waste which was in flames inside a large shed.
It is not yet known how the fire started.
Station Commander in the Omagh area Brian Hetherington said as the fire developed, 5 pumping appliances, a command unit and a high volume pump were dispatched to the incident, with three NIFRS officers in attendance.
He told Q Radio the fire has been contained but crews still remain on scene this morning.
"At the moment it is underdetermined how the fire started but the swift actions of the initial attending crews have brought the fire under control.
"They are currently spending time with help from people on site to remove the waste product that is on fire and dampen it down.
"It has been a busy time for crews in and around Omagh over the last couple of weeks with the gorse fires they have had to attend.
"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the crews for their hard work this morning.
"The investigation will carry on to find a cause for this fire."
