A man has been left in hospital with puncture wounds after he was attacked by a group of masked men in Larne.
The group forced their way into a flat on the Upper Waterloo Road at around 10pm last night before assaulting the victim using bats studded with nails.
Police are understood to be following a number of lines of enquiry but no-one's been arrested.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Enquiries are ongoing and detectives would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information to contact them in Ballymena on 101 quoting reference number 1549 14/05/18.
"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
