Man and woman charged over £65,000 UDA drugs bust

A man and woman have been charged in connection with a £65,000 drugs bust linked to the west Belfast UDA.

The class A and B drugs were recovered during searches in the Newtownabbey and North Down areas yesterday. 

The 44-year-old woman and 40-year-old are charged on suspicion of a number of offences including being concerned in the supply of a Class A controlled drug; possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply and possessing criminal property.

The suspects are both due before Newtownards Magistrates' Court later.
