People are being urged to ensure their homes are locked and secure, following a spate of attempted burglaries in Limavady.

Police say criminals have been trying to gain access to homes through unlocked windows.

A spokesperson for the PSNI says, "All too often when we attend reports of burglaries the suspect has simply walked in through an open door. "

Officers are carrying out enquires in the town today, to try and identify those involved.
