Heavy rain has caused a landslide on the main road into Ballycastle.

As a result the Moyarget road has been closed in both directions as contractors remove the debris which has covered the entire carriageway.

Meanwhile, the MET office has issued a wind warning for tomorrow with gusts to 70 mph or more .

After a brief lull winds will increase during Wednesday afternoon and evening, accompanied by increasingly wintry showers.

By evening several centimetres of snow will begin to accumulate especially over higher ground.

Travel conditions will start to turn very tricky, resulting in delays.
