Clare Bailey has been selected as the new leader of the Green Party in Northern Ireland. 

The South Belfast MLA is replacing Stephen Agnew, who stood down in July after leading the party for seven years. 

At the time, he said the power-sharing crisis at Stormont was partly to blame for his decision. 

Ms. Bailey is the only other MLA for the Green Party, after being elected in 2016. 

Ms Bailey was the Green Party's Deputy Leader for three years, from 2014 to 2017 before stepping down.
