Car stolen during creeper style burglary in west Belfast

Detectives are appealing for information following a report of a creeper style burglary which occurred at the Coolnasilla Avenue area of west Belfast sometime overnight.

Detective Sergeant Corrigan said: “Sometime between 7pm on Saturday 5th December and 2am on Sunday 6th December, it was reported that entry was gained to a house in the area. It was reported that car keys were taken from the property and a silver Volvo V70 which was parked outside the property was stolen during the incident. The vehicle remains outstanding at this time. It was reported there were a number of tools in the boot of the car, when the vehicle was taken.

“Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 563 06/12/20.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
