Bomb sparks security alert in south Belfast

A bomb has been discovered in south Belfast.

It was spotted in the Lavina Square area off the Ormeau Road around half 10 last night.

Some residents in the area were evacuated from their homes amid the security alert - but have since been allowed to return.

Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference number 1419 16/11/17 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
