Q Radio News

A centenarian who was robbed at his Strabane home in October celebrates his 101st birthday on Saturday.

Pat Gillespie's story circled the globe after some of his pension money was taken by three men during the break-in.

The pensioner still enjoys riding motorbikes, and will spend the weekend celebrations with his family.

Q Radio caught up with him, and asked him the secret to such a long life!

After the ordeal earlier in the year, Pat says he's very thankful to have been given support from family and friends.

He went on to add that he can't get his head around the reasons for it.

The County Tyrone man won many trophies for powerboat racing, one of his hobbies, through the years.

He says he wants to go for another 100 years, so we wanted to know if he'd share the details of his plans!
