Belfast International Airport

Belfast International Airport could double in size within ten years if the Government's air tax is cut.

That's according to East Londonderry MP Gregory Campbell.

The NI Affairs Committee on which he sits is urging that air passenger duty be re-assessed after Brexit.

That currently means a supplement of up to £78 per flight.

Air tax-free Dublin Airport could soon attract 30 million passengers a year, whereas Northern Ireland's top two airports struggle to get 10 million between them.
