BANGOR BAND THE FLORENTINAS RETURN FROM “LIFE CHANGING” TOUR WITH SNOW PATROL

As Snow Patrol kicked off their Irish tour this week, Bangor four-piece, The Florentinas have spoken of the incredible opportunity offered to them as main support to Snow Patrol throughout Europe over two weeks in February, seeing them perform to audiences of up to 17,000 people per night. 

Paddy from The Florentinas said; “The tour was incredible. I think we’d go as far to say it was the best two weeks of our lives. We had such a blast playing to an entire new audience on some of the best European stages, and to do it with Snow Patrol was a real privilege. The band and their crew all looked after us so well and welcomed us into the touring family as one of their own. We feel so lucky to have had such a perfect first run of European shows. It’s given us a taste of what we’re able to achieve and we can’t wait to get back out there again.”

Formed in early 2019, The Florentinas comprises Paddy Boyd (vocals), Jacob Kane (bass), Luke Swann (guitar) and Jakob Swann (drums), who met at secondary school in Bangor, Northern Ireland.

The Bangor four-piece have made a huge impact, releasing four radio singles, ‘Miami’, Sandcastles', 'It's Not In Vain' and ‘Weatherman’, receiving daytime playlist support across some of Ireland’s largest radio stations, supporting artists such as, Nothing But Thieves, The Amazons, Stereophonics and Snow Patrol, as well as performing at Stendhal Festival, CHSq, Electric Picnic and Other Voices in 2022 and closed the year by winning the BBC Introducing Artist of the Year award at the Northern Ireland Music Prize.

Their hook-heavy indie rock has garnered attention at home and beyond, signing a publishing deal with BMG in 2020.
