Following his two sold out CHSq 2024 shows last August, Trance superstar Billy Gillies returns for another headline show at Custom House Square on Friday August 29th 2025, joined on the night by John O’Callaghan, Multunes, Trance Wax and support from EADZO.
 
Billy Gillies is the latest superstar trance artist to emerge from Northern Ireland.
 

Billy Gillies brings pure joy through his music, blending quirky Eurodance, uplifting trance, and hard-hitting bass into energetic tracks like “Lagoon” and “Youth.” His passion has earned him over 145 million TikTok views and a global fanbase, with crowds chanting his name from Taiwan to Texas. His musical journey started in the 2000s when he was inspired by his sister’s DJ boyfriend, leading him to experiment with turntables at just 11 years old. By 17, he was sneaking into clubs and dreaming of rocking the crowd himself. At 19, Billy started producing his own music, sending tracks to BBC Radio 1 DJ Judge Jules, who played them on his show.

Billy’s breakout moment came in 2019 when he played a set of all-original material at Luminosity, which earned more plays on Soundcloud than the headliners’ sets. His fresh sound brought something new to the trance scene, blending his influences with main trance styles. Though the pandemic paused live events, Billy saw it as an opportunity to experiment and create emotional melodies that resonated deeply with fans. He shared his work on TikTok and Facebook, rapidly growing his fanbase, thanks to both his talent in the studio and his infectious personality. Now, Billy is a rising star in the DJ world, ready to take on the global stage.
 
Globetrotting as a touring DJ, adding new countries every month having already performed in North America (LA, Toronto), Asia (Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City), Australia (Melbourne, Sydney), South America (Buenos Aires), UK (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and all over Europe (Netherlands, Ireland, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Romania). Playing for mega brands such as Creamfields, FSOE, Subculture, Luminosity, Dreamstate, Unkonscious, Untold, Rong, Ministry Of Sound, Colours, Ben Nicky & Friends, Belsonic, Planetlove, Notorious Parties, Shorefest and many more.
 
Chart topping collaborations with the Egyptian trance gods Aly & Fila (Kings FSOE 750 Anthem), teaming up with comrades Sneijder (Rhino) and Shugz (The Journey) and remixing for Irish trance don John O'Callaghan (Mess Of A Machine).
