A man may require facial reconstructive surgery following an assault in Omagh, police have said.
The 46-year-old man reported that he was attacked close to the bus depot on Mountjoy Road on Sunday.
He said it came after “remonstrating with another man, whom he didn’t know but who was asking for a lift”, some time between 1am and 2am.
“The victim was assaulted and kicked whilst on the ground, and has sustained a number of facial injuries which it’s believed will require some reconstructive surgeries,” a police spokesperson said.
