The Proclaimers set for Custom House Square headline show

Scottish music legends The Proclaimers are heading back to Belfast next summer, confirmed to headline Custom House Square on Sunday 16th August 2026.

Strikingly individual and unmistakably iconic, twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid have been soundtracking lives for more than three decades. Since emerging 34 years ago with their debut album This Is The Story and the Top 3 single Letter from America, The Proclaimers have built a legacy of heartfelt, unforgettable songwriting loved across generations.

Their music captures the full range of human emotion with honesty, wit and passion. From political fire to love and loss, their songs have become part of life’s soundtrack, heard at weddings, parties, and beyond. Of course, one anthem towers above them all – I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) – a song known and sung around the world.

Across their incredible career, The Proclaimers have earned Gold and Platinum albums and singles in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and even inspired the hit musical and film Sunshine on Leith. Their 2018 album Angry Cyclist reached No.17 on the UK Albums Chart and No.3 on the UK Independent Albums Chart, followed by the Angry Cyclist World Tour, which saw them play 111 shows in 14 countries to more than 400,000 fans.

Highlights included selling out Edinburgh Castle twice in record time and opening the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury for their seventh appearance at the legendary festival.

Their twelfth studio album, Dentures Out, arrived in 2022, showing that after more than three decades, The Proclaimers remain as sharp, melodic and full of heart as ever.

Fans can expect a night packed with anthems, singalongs and stories when the beloved duo take over Custom House Square this August.
