Renowned composer David Arnold will close the 2025 Output Belfast Conference

Output Belfast , Ireland’s largest music conference, is delighted to reveal its closing sessions for 2025

Closing the conference will be an in-conversation event with one of the UK’s most pre-eminent film composers David Arnold. David’s work can be heard across 5 of the James Bond films including the iconic first outing for Daniel Craig - “Casino Royale” (for which he wrote the theme tune - “You Know My Name”  with Chris Cornell) music for the Benedict Cumberbatch fronted “Sherlock” series (with composer Michael Price) the “2 Fast 2 Furious” soundtrack from the global Fast and Furious franchise, and most recently the Amazon series “Good Omens”. 

Away from the film world, David Arnold maintains a career as a successful record producer and songwriter, having worked with a wide range of contemporary artists including Iggy Pop, Bjork, Lethal Bizzle, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Don Black and Pulp.He also was Musical Director for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

In the world of film music David Arnold is an iconoclastic presence, winning Grammy, Emmy and Ivors Awards for his canon of work, and we are delighted to welcome him to Output Belfast alongside Ivor Novello award-winning composer and musician Hannah Peel.

We are delighted to also announce our opening event at Output - a live recording of the “Logan Sounds Off” podcast with very special guest Niamh Regan

Logan (now aged 14) is Ireland’s youngest podcaster - he did his first interview aged 8 years old, and since then he has subsequently interviewed music greats including Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age (twice) Lankum, Ian MacKaye (Fugazi) , Mary Coughlan, Henry Rollins, Don Letts, EELS, and many more. We are delighted to announce Logan will be doing a live podcast recording with Irish singer-songwriter Niamh Regan 

Niamh first caught the attention of listeners with her 2020 debut Hemet - that album paved the way for a whirlwind of performances across Ireland, the UK, Australia, and beyond with Niamh opening for artists such as CMAT, Villagers, John Grant, SOAK, Patrick Watson, James Vincent McMorrow, and Sam Amidon. Her 2024 second album Come As You Are was shortlisted for the RTÉ Choice Prize for Irish Album
