Larne's Danielle Hill has made it to the Olympics after securing the qualifying time for the 100 metres backstroke at the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin on Thursday.
In the decider at the final Swim Ireland Olympic trials, 22-year-old Hill registered a winning time of 60.18 seconds, to go under the standard needed by 0.07 seconds and book her place at next month's games in Japan.
"I'm so relieved, so happy," she said.
"I know there is a faster time in there, but I'm just happy to have done the job."
And she dedicated the success to people in her home town.
"That was for the guys. They've had the toughest 12 months and that was for those guys."

She's reached the qualifying time by a split second at her final opportunity in Dublin.
The 22-year-old set a new Irish record in the 100m backstroke.
