Coastguard teams from Ballycastle and Coleraine were called to the area where they found the woman stranded at the base of the cliff in what's known as the boulder fields.
A Rescue Helicopter was scrambled from Prestwick and crew members winched the uninjured woman to safety in blustery conditions.
After being winched on board the woman was flown to a landing site close to Ballycastle Golf Club.
