It has been confirmed that cuts determined at an extraordinary public board meeting held last month remain unaltered for the Southern Trust, despite £40 million of additional funding for the Health Service.
The Trust must save £6.4 million by March next year and is discussing progress at another public board meeting being held at its headquarters in Craigavon today.
In a statement it said the £40 million will be allocated to areas with the "greatest impact on direct patient care."
It continued saying although the announcement is welcome, "there continues to be a difficult financial environment for health, we remain committed to transforming and modernising our services, while living within the budget available to us."
