Police were attacked by youths throwing petrol bombs last night during a security alert in Derry/Londonderry.
Trouble flared yesterday as the PSNI and army dealt with a suspicious object left on the Skeoge Road.
Police urged local residents to stay indoors and called for anyone from outside the area to leave immediately.
The object was later declared an elaborate hoax.

It came after a series of vehicle hijackings on Tuesday evening.
The PSNI'S Derry City and Strabane Twitter account tweeted that officers on Skeoge Road had petrol bombs thrown at them from Galliagh Park.
We are currently dealing with a suspicious object on the Skeoge Road and have had petrol bombs thrown at us from Galliagh Park as we work to ensure the safety of residents. Please stay indoors or leave the area if you do not live there.
