Infrastructure Minister Chris Hazzard says he intends to see that two major projects here get off the ground.
Narrow Water bridge and the Ballynahinch bypass have been shelved repeatedly over the last number of years.
But Mr Hazzard told Q Radio that's about to change.
"Certainly the Ballynahinch bypass in the next couple of years I hope to proceed with, likewise with the Narrow Water Bridge."
Asked about EU funding for Narrow Water cross-border bridge and the Southern Relief Road project, Mr Hazzard said that he's "progressing" the projects "as we speak".
He added, "We know that the Narrow Water Bridge previously was going to receive indirect funding but that is now off the table. And the Newry Southern Relief Road is a project that would have likely received maybe £40m - £60m that is uncertain.
"I know the value of these projects and certainly want to deliver them in the time ahead," he said.
