The PSNI have launched a campaign urging all victims of domestic abuse in Fermanagh, to make 2017 the year they try and make it stop by contacting the police and reporting it.
According to recent PSNI statistics, there were 1493 reported domestic abuse incidents and 685 domestic abuse crimes between April 2015 and March 2016.
This campaign is now aimed at encouraging people to report any incidents of abuse and stop living in fear.
People in rural areas of Fermanagh often go unreported as they are further out from the local community and are more isolated. This sometimes leaves them with more pressure to come forward.
The launch is aiming to break the stigma that stops people from feeling like they can't speak out, while giving a victim- led approach.
