DUP MLA David Hilditch has been warned about a threat against him.
The East Antrim representative said police informed him of the threat.
“I was visited late last night by police and alerted to a threat against myself involving the use of a firearm.
"I have been a public representative for nearly thirty years but I will not be deterred from that work by faceless people.”
Meanwhile, DUP leader Arlene Foster condemned those responsible for the threat.
“There is absolutely no place for threats against any elected representative and we all must make it clear that the criminals involved in such activity will not succeed.
"As Party colleagues we stand with David as I know the people of East Antrim and beyond will also.”
Other colleagues have taken to social media to condemn the threat.
Thoughts are with my colleague David Hilditch MLA who was notified by PSNI of a threat against him.

All whilst David continues working hard for his community in the Assembly, helping co-ordinate the delivery of food packages and prescriptions to the vulnerable in Carrickfergus.
The news comes after a number of political representatives received threats earlier this month from loyalist paramilitaries.
