Hughes called up for qualifiers

Manager Michael O'Neill has called up veteran Cookstown man Aaron Hughes for Northern Ireland's upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

They're set to play San Marino and Germany.

Hughes who’s 36, played three times at Euro 2016 to bring his caps haul up to 103.

The former Newcastle and Aston Villa defender signed for Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters.

Northern Ireland are at home to San Marino on Saturday.

On Tuesday they face Group C favourites Germany in Hanover.

Hughes joins Niall McGinn and Stuart Dallas in the squad.
