Derry City will play two games next week to help out victims of last week's flooding.

First up, the Candystripes will take on Institute at Wilton Park on Wednesday 6th September.

All proceeds will go towards the Riverside Stadium Ground Appeal.  Intistitute saw their home ground devastated by the floods.

Speaking to the Club's website, boss Kenny Shiels said “The damage that last week’s flood has done to their ground is incredible, so, hopefully, the Derry City supporters and the Institute fans come out next week and give the financial support they need.”

Following that, Derry will then welcome north west rivals Finn Harps to Maginn Park on Friday 8th September.

Money from that game will be donated to the Flood Damage Fund.

The fund helps the numerous people left homeless by the flooding and to help the community in Innishowen.

Shiels said "We feel it is only fitting that we give something back to the people who have helped us throughout our season, by coming out to support us and letting us play in the community [Maginn Park, Buncrana]"
