A security alert in the Glasvey Drive area of west Belfast has ended following the report of the discovery of a suspicious object yesterday evening.
Police and Ammunition Technical Officers attended the scene, and two controlled explosions were carried out on the object, which has been described as a hoax.
The remains of the object has since been removed for further forensic examination.
All cordons have been lifted and police would like to thank the local community for their patience as we worked to make the area safe.
