A bus has been hijacked and damaged by a man wielding a knife in Dundonald.
It's understood a driver and eight passengers were forced off the vehicle in Ballybeen at around 8 last night.
Services were temporarily suspended, but have now returned to normal.
The driver was threatened at the bus stop on Cairnsmore Avenue before being forced to drive for a distance and being ordered off the vehicle.
The bus was then involved in a collision a short distance away at which point the hijacker fled.
Police arrested a 33 year old suspect in Millars Lane a short time later.
A spokesperson for Translink said: “We can confirm a 4A Metro bus was hijacked and damaged in the Ballybeen area just before 8.00pm last night.
“The driver and 8 passengers were ordered off the bus. There were no reports of any injuries.
“We totally condemn any threat to our staff or customers and are assisting the PSNI with their investigations into the incident”.
