The 'Epilepsy Warrior' Billy Caldwell and his mum Charlotte began their journey to Belfast yesterday.

Charlotte and Billy left Castlederg yesterday morning to walk 150 miles to the Royal Victoria Hospital, in Belfast.

'Billy's Cannabus Walk'

Charlotte Caldwell has organised the walk to raise awareness of Billy's plight and their current situation.

At the minute, Billy is 47 days seizure free, all thanks to the use of medicinal cannabis.

The cannabis oil has controlled his seizures, making Billy more alert and aware of his surroundings; improving his physical state.

However, for Billy to keep up his treatment, he needs a qualified doctor here in Northern Ireland that can supervise and supply his dosage that's keeping him alive.

Charlotte has also been fighting for 5 months to get the permission of a doctor to sign off on an ECR for Billy.

This will give them financial help for Billy's life saving treatment that he's been getting in Los Angeles.

Unfortunately, for most of those months, Charlotte has been met with unanswered phone calls and emails.

Doctors in the Belfast Hospital have finally decided to meet with Charlotte and Billy on the 22nd of March at 2pm.

Both the medicinal cannabis and the ECR have sparked Charlotte's motivation to keep fighting and make a statement by walking 150 miles to the meeting in Belfast.

Enroute there, they'll continue to raise funds for the life saving treatment and continue to make Billy's situation be known.
