Still too many primary schools in Mid and East Antrim

Mid and East Antrim has almost three thousand spare places in local primary schools.

That's according to new figures from the Education Authority.

And the scale of the over capacity is placing uncertainty over the future viability of several local primaries.

The stark options are further school closures, amalgamation or the status quo.
