Smoke bombs thrown at rival demonstrations in Belfast City Centre

Smoke bombs have been thrown during demonstrations in Belfast City Centre.

Hundreds of people attended an anti-racism demonstration, while a smaller group attended UK Freedom March protest.

Both took place at Belfast City Hall - with police riot vans separating the two.

 

 

 

At one point a large bang was heard from one of the devices - as a green smoke filled the air.
