Police are investigating reports that a gun shot was fired outside a house in West Belfast.
The alleged incident took place in the Amcomri Street area at around 10 last night.
Police say a man heard someone at his front gate, and then saw another man dressed in black carrying a suspected firearm.
The home-owner dropped to the floor and then reported hearing a gun-shot.
No-one was injured and no damage was caused to the property.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a report of a shot being fired in the Amcomri Street area of west Belfast around 10pm last night. No injuries reported. Witnesses asked to contact detectives on 101 quoting ref 1649 15/02/19.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a report of a shot being fired in the Amcomri Street area of west Belfast last night, Friday 15 February.
It was reported that at around 10pm a man heard someone at his front gate and when he went to check he observed a male dressed in black carrying a small firearm. The man dropped to the floor before hearing what sounded like a shot being fired. The man was not injured and no damage was caused to the property.
Detective Sergeant Gardiner is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to call detectives in Musgrave on 101, quoting reference 1649 15/02/19. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
