Police have warned people not to gather in the Shankill Road area of Belfast to celebrate Rangers lifting the Scottish premiership trophy.

Images have emerged on social media of large crowds swarming the streets to mark the occasion.

However, under the current coronavirus rules outdoor gatherings are limited to 10 people from two households.

The PSNI tweeted earlier to say officers would be in the area to keep an eye on whether regulations were being observed.

The statement said evidence would be gathered on any potential breaches of regulations and those responsible for them.
