Organisers fear that the sector will be 'decimated' without the appropriate financial support.

Chief Executive of Bus and Coach NI Karen Magill said community services which are provided by private coaches, are in jeopardy of being lost.

She said: "Coroanviurs has had a devastating impact on the whole tourism ecosystem, unfortunately, the coach tourism industry has been one of the most negatively impacted sectors within the tourism system.

"It was the first to have to close and it will be the last to open.

"It will probably be the last to fully recover."
