Preparations are getting into full swing for a big charity effort to help keep the doors open at the Southern Area Hospice.

Newry's answer to Black Santa, John Dalzell, has raised almost £1.7m in his annual sit-out

2019 will be his 28th year, with the collection starting on December 14th and running until Christmas Eve.

To mark the 30th anniversary of the Hospice, there'll also be a concert at the Town Hall on December 18th.

It brings together bands from across the community and they're enjoying practising together for the unique occasion.

Concert tickets at £10 are available from John and the Hospice...
