N.I. sports stars recognized in Queen's Birthday Honours list

Three of Northern Ireland's top sports personalities have been recognized in the Queen's Birthday honours list.

Ireland rugby captain Rory Best from Poyntzpass gets the OBE while Northern Ireland football captain Steven Davis from Ballymena and World Superbike Champion Jonathan Rea from Larne both get an MBE.

Television presenter Gloria Hunniford who's originally from Portadown is awarded an OBE for services to cancer charities.

She became involved with charity work when she lost her daughter, Caron Keating, to breast cancer in 2004.

Also recognized is former Chief Electoral Officer, Graham Shields and Michael Cecil, a prominent figure in community life on Rathlin Island.
